How the Estimator Works

This is intentionally “unusual”: it models human friction in skill practice, not just video runtime.

Focused Hours
We start with the cart’s total course duration hours. Then we multiply by: 1 + break ratio + review overhead.
Setup friction
We add a small fixed amount per study day (threading, tension checks, cleaning). This makes short sessions less efficient (realistic for machine setup learning).
Calendar duration
We compute required sessions from minutes/day, then translate it into days using days/week. Results are rounded up to avoid optimistic estimates.
